New G2 engine prompts truck upgrade

A long standing customer based in the North East of England has recently taken delivery of a new Doosan D70S-7 for use in their heavy board warehouse.

The family-owned agricultural merchant has operated a Doosan D70S-5 for several years and appreciates the rugged construction, simple maintenance and reliable operation. The new series 7 truck builds on these attributes with an upgrade to the all-new Doosan G2 compact diesel engine.

A key feature of the new engine is the elimination of the conventional Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) to meet the Euro IV emission standard. This innovation significantly reduces routine maintenance downtime over comparable machines fitted with a DPF.

In addition, the new engine features an advanced fuel injection system that not only reduces emissions but also improves low-end torque and fuel consumption. Manufactured in a new purpose built factory, the close tolerance design of the G2 engine also produces less noise and vibration than its predecessor to help minimise driver fatigue.

With extended service intervals and a five year warranty, the new D70S-7 combines industry leading performance with excellent whole life costs for complete peace of mind.
