Ability Handling has just delivered a new Doosan G20SC-5 to Wooltex UK Ltd, based in Slaithwaite, just outside of Huddersfield West Yorkshire. The New Doosan Forklift has been purchased to replace Wooltex's own 1500kg forklift which was so old that it was thought to have come off the ark with Noah. Operations Manager Steve Adams went to market to look to replace their existing truck as "it was now showing its age and costs were starting to increase with breakdowns, repairs and downtime becoming an issue for us" said Steve.

Ability Handling Ltd sales staff carried out a FREE full site survey of their site, which is sandwiched between the river Colne and Huddersfield narrow canal. We noted from the survey that the existing unit was potentially being overloaded when lifting their stillages filled with rolls of cloth at 850mm load centres. Ability Handling Ltd recommended a new Doosan G20SC-5 (Short Chassis) Lpg machine which gave Wooltex an additional 500kg over their old unit and at only 30mm longer and the same width would not have any detrimental effect to the trucks manoeuvrability in the old textile mill warehouse.

Why did Wooltex choose Ability Handling over their existing supplier? "Ability Handling were very professional in their approach to us and gave us good advice where the truck's de-rated lifting capacity was concerned, this gave us the confidence to place the order with them" said Steve.
