A Sheffield based composite door manufacturer has recently taken delivery of a new fleet of trucks from Ability Handling to improve the efficiency of their materials handling operations.

Previously, the company were struggling to make effective use of their warehouse space due to the limitations of their existing trucks. Ability Handling were able to resolve this by putting together a package to replace their fleet with new trucks offering the flexibility to cope with both current and future operational demands.

The new fleet comprises two Doosan G15S-5 gas trucks for incoming and outgoing deliveries, two Doosan BR14JW-7 Reach trucks for handling goods in the racking department and an Aisle-Master AM15E for handling goods in the racking area or to go outside and assist with off-loading.

The compact Doosan LPG yard trucks are ideal for running up and down ramps and have the added benefit of triple full free lift masts for working inside containers. The new model Doosan reach trucks are the perfect complement to manoeuvre around the aisles and with weighing scales fitted as standard ensure the operator is confident of the load capacity being lifted. The Aisle-Master is the icing on the cake in terms of flexible working and has proved so versatile that a further machine has now been ordered.

All the machines are fitted with management systems to monitor usage and collision damage to give the customer complete peace of mind.
